We currently have a great opportunity for a Commis Sommelier to be part of a passionate and friendly team in a beautiful 5 Star hotel near Newbury. The Commis Sommelier will have access to an unrivalled selection of wines and will ensure high standards of service in this award-winning property.

Our client is a luxury 5-star hotel on the outskirts of Newbury which has a rich heritage of culinary excellence and classical cookery, delivering high standards of world-class cuisine. The hotel has a 3 AA Rosette restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner service, along with casual dining in the lounge bar and afternoon tea offering.

The ideal Commis Sommelier will have the following:
Experience as a Commis Sommelier with the desire to work in a 5 star multi rosette environmentIdeally hold or working towards WSET Level 2 or equivalentBe a great communicator with a dynamic and charismatic approachImpeccable standards of service with a passion for exceptional winesA warm and friendly personality, with a flair for recognising and exceeding guest expectations.Dedication, motivation and positivityFlexibility to cover shifts as requiredImpeccable standards of personal presentationThe ability to establish rapport and deliver high standards of service with a genuine and approachable manner whilst demonstrating good wine knowledgeAs the hotel is located on the outskirts of Newbury, having your own reliable means of transport to this area will be essentialA fantastic opportunity for a Commis Sommelier to join an amazing team!
