Classical Greek Inspired 'Man Holding a Water Jug' / One-Off Pottery Tile

Size - Height 370mm x Width 240mm x Depth 35mm / Weight 4.6kg
early to mid 1990's
I modelled the original in clay, made a plaster mould, sharpened the detail in the plaster before it became firm and once it was totally dry, hand pressed this tile.
When the clay was firm enough, the tile was decorated and then had to be dried slowly on thick wades of newspaper and turned every day to prevent warping.
I had several crack during the firing process so in the end abandoned making them.
This tile and the others I am listing have been hanging on a wall in my attic for over twenty years - unseen.
I have had tiles like this hanging outside for the same length of time as due to the firing temperature they are frost proof.
Only one impression was ever taken of this tile
