The Carrera Sulcata 1 is your partner for the ultimate off-road adventure. Powerful tektro hydraulic disc brakes ensure controlled stopping downhill whilst a 2x10 Shimano drivetrain and lockout fork ensure climbing is just as effortless.
XCM fork with Speed Lockout:-
The fork fitted to the Sulcata 1 is Suntour’s XCM model with 120mm of lockout, the version fitted to the Sulcata features hydraulic speed lockout which enables the bike to switch from full travel to stiff with a switch on top of the fork and in easy reach of the rider. Once the fork is locked the bike will be more efficient on climbs, it can then simply be switched back to allow full travel as the trail flattens out.
Efficient Modern Gears:-
To enhance the riding experience, we have also upgraded the drivetrain on the new Sulcata 1, moving from a triple chainset to a 2x (2 by). One less cog at the front means less weight and less maintenance but also makes changing gears more intuitive as fewer choices help you get the one you want quicker… and don’t worry about the range of gears. The es with a big 11-42T 10-speed cassette at the back wheel, so you’ve still got those important choices at the top and bottom end of the range
