Our client is a global wholesale suppliers / procurement trading company specialising in the provision of raw materials and machinery to manufacturing companies.
This is a London-based role with global reach where you will come with expertise in selling and ideally knowledge of exports / manufacturing trading in the Middle East, Africa and the UK.

Our client specialises in supplying raw materials and machinery to meet the needs of manufacturing companies and have a global network of suppliers in order to provide services for all aspects of international trading. These range from and include marketing, logistics, finance and after sales support.
This role is London-based, and our client operate in 16 other countries, mainly on the continent of Africa. Global travel will be required.
Description
This position is to manage existing business and develop business overseas and in the UK - developing new business opportunities will be the core focus. The industry focus here is on the marketing and distribution of various plastic raw materials (Polymers, Polypropylene, PVC & PET), Tinplate, Aluminium components, and Paper.
Be accountable for the growth of the product portfolio through growing existing customers as well as identifying new products / applicationsReporting to the Head of Raw Materials & Packaging, responsible for managing existing business and developing sales in overseas and UK as a key member of a teamDrive business development by winning new customers and introducing new productsCooperate and liaise with internal partners in Product Management and Inside SalesRegular reporting on sales and marketing activityGet a deep knowledge of customer needs and competitor activityAchieve and exceed sales targets in line with the company strategy and defined KPI'sIdentify potential within new and existing customers with a view to growing the UK & Overseas turnover in line with the business' extensive growth plansDeliver a high level of customer service through value-add sales techniques concentrating on a multitude of market sectorsWork closely with the technical team to increase product adoption as well as new applications for your diverse customer baseDeliver technical and commercial product presentations to a wide range of stakeholdersFrequently travel to meet customers and suppliers Profile
Our client is in need of a skilled sales and sales management professional who will understand incoterms, the trading of raw materials and the wider manufacturing space, again ideally with exposure to African marketsExperience in plastics is not essential, but our client's preference is that you come with an understanding of the packaging / steel / paper / exports sector(s)Well-versed in travelling overseas for business, and so therefore culturally awareNew business focus on your selling expertise Job Offer
Our client is looking to pay c.GBP50-60k base salary dependant on experience with bonus and OTE to be discussed at interview. This is a predominantly office-based role where international travel will be regularly required of you.
