Boyfriend Book 1966 Iconic Vintage Teenage Girl’s Annual Very Good Used Condition.
Being offered for sale here is a hard to find copy of Boyfriend Book from 1966 – a vintage annual for teenage girls from a fascinating fast moving era. This English edition in such good condition is mon these days and highly collectable – particularly as it is a vintage original and not a more modern facsimile.
Its contents cover fashion, beauty, romance and musical artists of the time – featuring, amongst others: The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elvis, Gene Pitney, Georgie Fame, Dave Clark, Dusty Springfield and Cilla Black.
The Boyfriend Book has a full colour pictorial hard cover; it was not published with a paper dust jacket. Its 158 pages are illustrated with photographs, drawings and romantic picture strips throughout, mostly in black and white, with some colour, including full page colour photographs of popular musical artists. It also has pictorial end papers.
This book is in very good used vintage condition. It has been read and well looked after. Its binding remains firm and tight and its spine is in very good condition. There are no loose or missing pages, nor are there any rips or tears to them. This book is not marred by notes or highlighting, or colouring in, or prior owner inscriptions. There is a slight yellow discolouration to some of the inside pages, commensurate with their age. However, the text and illustrations are still bright and clear. Its hard covers show signs of light use, which is to be expected given this is a vintage item.
