BATIK, artist signed, over 50 years old, from Malawi, Africa, 2ft high, perfect condition.
Description : 13 Apr, 2023
The owner, now deceased, purchased this Batik in Malawi when she was working there in the 1950's. She had it professionally framed in Norfolk upon her return - and has kept it in storage ever since until now.
Batik is an art technique involving repeated applications of wax and dyes - and a great deal of patience. This is a particularly fine example of the art, and is in perfect original condition. It is signed by African artist, and would look wonderful hanging on a suitable interior wall.
Collection from Dersingham would be much appreciated.
