Anyone who has followed us over the years will know we love interesting, slightly out the ordinary cars, well this E- Type is cool!! the last owner over the last 3 years has built this car to what we would call a 'fast road touring specification' you could jump in this car and drive to the south of France etc tomorrow and have a great time driving there! to give a idea of the changes this car has gone through have a read through the following. The engine block has had a full strip down, it was cleaned and when re assembled it had new rings, new shells and new timing chains, the cylinder head has had a full unleaded refurbishment with new valves, hardened seats and has been gas flowed, ported and polished. New series 3 camshafts. Aluminium light flywheel and new clutch. It has a Realm engineering 5 speed gearbox with short shifter and new prop shaft. The rear axle was removed, stripped and a new diff 2.88:1 was fitted for a more relaxing cruise, it has all new hub bearings, drive shaft uj's and discs and pads fitted with a fast bleed system. The front suspension is polybushed and gas adjustable shockers fitted along with new 4 pot callipers. The fuel system has been upgraded to a Jenvey Heritage throttle bodies system with full fuel injection and ignition system. The air conditioning now has a upto pressor to accept modern gas. Inside you will find a 14'' wooden steering wheel, sports seats which can be mechanically adjusted for any drivers position, there is a period 'style' radio which also has DAB, the tachometer has been calibrated to digital to allow for the new gearing set up. Wheels are all new 15'' and have new whitewall tyres. Everything has been done over the last 3 years, in that time the car has traveled 1800 miles so safe to say any early niggles have been ironed out and ready for the new owner to get in and drive. The previous owner had the car on the rolling road and the car achieved 300bhp with a 155mph speed in 4th gear! a really good car with similar cars asking a lot more than our asking price we feel this is a great buy!
