A VERY WELL PRESENTED EXAMPLE OF THIS WONDERFUL FORD CORTINA FINISHED IN ELECTRIC BLUE COMPLIMENTED WITH A COMFORTABLE BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR - REGISTERED ON 01 08 1968 WITH CURRENT MOT. THE 2792 CC ENGINE ON THE CURRENT V5 REGISTRATION DOCUMENT. A BARE METAL RESTORATION HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT TO INCLUDE NEW OUTER SILLS AND OUT RIGGERS, FULL LENGTH STRUT TOPS AND A NEW REAR VALENCE WERE ALSO FITTED BEFORE ETCH PRIMING AND A PROFESSIONAL REPAINT. THE ENGINE IS A 2.8 LITRE COLOGNE UNIT ORIGINALLY WITH FUEL INJECTION BUT NOW CONVERTED BACK TO THE MORE MANAGEABLE CARB SET UP. IN THE PAST THE ENGINE IS RECORDED AS BEEN OVERHAULED BY IVOR SEARLE WITH NEW BEARINGS AND SHELLS. IN ADDITION A NEW OIL PUMP, CAMSHAFT, FOLLOWERS AND ALL NEW GASKETS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THE CYLINDER HEADS WERE ALSO DE COKED AND ALUMINIUM ROCKER COVERS ADDED. THE GEARBOX IS A TYPE 9 FIVE SPEED, STRIPPED AND CHECKED WITH NO ISSUES. A SHORT SHIFT HAS BEEN FITTED ALONG WITH A NEW 3 PIECE CLUTCH KIT ( CONVERTED TO HYDRAULIC ) A NEW 3.54 DIFFERENTIAL HAS ALSO BEEN FITTED, BILSTEIN SHOCK ABSORBERS WITH POLY BUSHES ON THE REAR AXLE. due to people having busy life's ,, we offer a service where by , if a car is delivered and purchased unseen . then the customer is eligible to send the vehicle back with the delivery driver on his gurney back to us . on the same flat bed lorry , a refund for the car will be issued but unfortunately the transport will have to be charged for on both trips .
